Title:   Urn Cremation
Supervisor:   Julia Shear
Category:   Burial
Description:   Burial. Roman Temple south half, in fill south of temple crosswall and norh of polygonal wall, layer 37a.
Small, roughly circular pit. The diameter of the pit appeared to be only slightly greater than the maximum diameter of the amphora (P 32307), which is 0.254m
The fill of the pit was a fine, loose-textured, dark red-brown earth, distinct from that of the surrounding fill. No tomb covering was encountered. The cinerary urn contained the cremated remains of an adolescent male aged 18-20 years at death, as well as another adolescent aged 12-14 years at death and perhaps a female.
