Title:   Votive Deposit

Description:   Disturbed "Votive Deposit" at 27-28/ΙΖ-ΙΗ
Reddish fill in five circular cutting in bedrock, considered by the excavators to have been one deposit. Fill was disturbed in later periods, probably by construction of pithoi. Deposit was found 4-5m east of Rocky Outcrop. Predominance of terracotta figurines is strong indication that this was fill from a sanctuary

Terracotta figurines:
4 inventoried figurines; 49 pieces representing a minimum of 23 figurines, 4 other individuals with legs, 1 shield, 2 plaques, 1 driver, 3 horses (minimum 34 individual figurines).
Early ware:
Gray Minyan; Mycenaean; Protogeometric fehlbrant; ray-based kotyle, Corinthianizing; Protogeometric- Late Geometric; Protoattic.
Archaic fine ware:
Black figure; black glazed miniature skyphos; aryballos; lekanis lid; banded olpe; skyphos, Corinthian type.
Coarse ware:
Plain and banded.
Intrusions:
Red-ware; late Roman; Late Roman lamps; coarse ware, combed ware; micaceous water jugs; yellow/white glaze; lidded bowl; shallow coarse ware dish.
