Title: | ΒΘ West: Strosis of rubbly fill visible in the baulk between Room 4’s Eastern and Western Sections. A strosis of moderately packed fill lies above the rubbly. See Baskets 61 and 63 for the removal of these stroses later in the excavation season. This thick strosis of rubbly fill (ca. 20-25 cm. thick) covered all of Room 4, having been laid directly over two pithoi covers and a hearth (elev. of pithoi covers and hearth = ca. 53.45 masl). Perhaps a leveling course laid beneath a habitation layer? See also ΒΘ XXII, p. 4232. | |
