Title:   Pilaster Base
Category:   Architecture Marble
Description:   This is the bottom block of the base for an anta, the top block of which is A 1177 (ΩΔ 222).
Usual base moldings of Giant pedestal series on outer face and both ends; across the left end the moldings are unfinished suggesting that the block comes from the west end of the series. On the top are two square dowel holes with four channels leading to the sides and a central lewis hole undercut at both ends. Anathyrosis on back. Heavily weathered and much battered.
