Title:   Step Block Fragment with Mason's Mark
Category:   Architecture Marble
Description:   Broken to left, right and behind. On front surface, parts of three fasciae preserved, the lower two smooth, the top one rough-picked. Part of original bottom preserved with striations of toothed chisel. On the top surface, part of a raised (ca. 0.02m.) working surface, with marks of a single-point chisel.
Behind this raised band, the surface is smooth up to the setting line, and then roughened beyond this. Besides the lengthwise setting line, there is another intersecting it at right angles, probably a median line. The letters Α and Γ are inscribed just to the right of this line.
