Description:   The builders of the Late Roman Fortification Wall had knocked off chips, especially from the volutes; most are missing. Empolion cutting on underside 0.06m square. Egg and dart not carved but painted; eggs blue with central divider in red; darts in red outline. Volutes and cushion outlined in blue. Red band around periphery of underside. Eyes in red with central palmettes outlined in blue, sheath red. Crowning ovolo has blue eggs and red darts. Three red raised bands on bolster. Top smooth; relieving surface. Incised on one side with a letter.
With shaft A 2970.
