Scraped groove at top of neck. Bearded face in relief at handle attachment, looking into neck of vessel: man with thin cheeks, high cheekbones, hair receding at temples. Horizontal painted band with five pairs of streamers hanging from it around upper neck. Shiny black glaze outside, dribbling down inside of neck.
