Intact; burnt on one side.

Flat bottom with string marks. Fabric contains much mica and black inclusions; dull brown glaze. Yellow pigment all over outside; red pigment inside, in places overlying the yellow. Some red also on outside.

Chemical analysis of the pigments performed by Stephen Koob in 1980 in the Agora conservation laboratory showed that the yellow pigment contains iron and is possibly limenite (yellow ocher). The red pigment contains little or no iron.
