Foot and center of floor preserved.

Angular ring foot; rounded resting surface; flat underside. Small plate or bowl. Scraped groove around center of floor with elaborate painted medallion: calyx of four pointed, ribbed petals, filled in white, alternating with white fronds. Outside scraped groove, traces of white dot rosette. Shiny black glaze.

Motif possibly imitates medallions of moldmade bowls; cf. P 28527 (Agora XXII, no. 55, p. 50, pl. 74 [P 21:4]).
