Judgment of Paris. At the right sits Paris (most of head, part of left side of body, all of legs missing) in three-quarter view to right, wearing Oriental dress. At his right is Eros with right arm outstretched, and behind Eros is one of the goddesses (right forearm, legs missing), probably Aphrodite, considering the proximity of Eros. She stands frontally, looking to left, her right arm outstretched, her left hand resting on her hip. She wears a peplos and has a fillet around her head. Below Paris is an olive branch with fruit. Above and below, egg pattern (upper pattern has dots). Preliminary sketch. Relief contour. Added clay: feathers of Eros' wings; his fillet. White: Eros' flesh; olives; dots above fillets; ground line.
