Six non-joining wall fragments, c and j with turn of shoulder. Max. dim. c) 0.095, e) 0.129, j) 0.046, α) 0.062, λ) 0.044, μ) 0.038.

Symposion. Fragment e (illustrated) preserves a little of the couch and part of the table in front of it, with a branch hanging from it. Below is a foot stool. Fragment α gives part of the headpost of the couch, the mattress, and a bit of the drapery of the symposiast. Fragment c (illustrated) shows the wreathed head, some of the chest, and right arm of a youthful symposiast, who wears a himation (it is uncertain if he is the one whose drapery appears on P 7244 δ : 218) and P 7244 j preserves the back of a similarly wreathed head but facing to right. At the left of this fragment is the contour line for the framing ornament. P 7244 λ and μ seem to come from the other side: each preserves a little of the framing ivy and the drapery of a figure. The curve of μ indicates that it should be positioned at about the level of the heads on c and j. Preliminary sketch. Relief contour: profile of youth; furniture. Dilute glaze: lines on mattress. Red: wreaths; branch and leaves.
