Wall fragment, slightly flaring. Max. dim. 0.074. Prange, Niobidenmaler, p. 165, cat. no. A 40, pl. 12.
The fragment shows part of a woman, perhaps standing frontally, head turned to left (a section of her garment decorated at the lower edge of the overfold with a frieze of riders galloping to left). At the very top, there is a bit of fringe, probably at the neckline. Behind her, at the right, is part of a thin narrow object decorated with dots (a staff[?]). Preliminary sketch. Relief contour.
The Altamura Painter (ARV1 413, 19; ARV2 591, 27).
