Wall fragment. Narrow reserved band on inside near top. Max. dim. 0.08.
Poseidon (most of head, torso, left arm and thigh) leaning forward a bit, probably seated or standing with his left leg bent, the foot resting on a rock, more likely the latter. Around his head is a wreath; over his thighs, a himation. Behind his head is his trident. White: stem of wreath. Dilute glaze: hair.
The Painter of Munich 2335 (ARV2 1163, 44). The figure of Poseidon may have been in a position comparable to that of Herakles on the painter's bell-krater in Omaha, Joslyn Art Museum, 1963.485 (ARV2 1163, 40; Paralip. 458, 40; Addenda 338).
