Three non-joining wall fragments. Streaky reddish brown glaze on inside. Max. dim. c) 0.028, d) 0.04, h) 0.042. Choes and Anthesteria, p. 81, cat. no. 172.

Fragment c shows part of the left side of the torso, start of thigh, and middle of arm of a male, probably a youth, standing frontally. Fragment d preserves part of a right hand holding a thin object that may be a stick. Fragment h shows the right corner of the base and just the start of the shaft of a goal post (relief contour at left break). Below, stopped-maeander pattern with checkerboard-square. Relief contour.

Not from the same oinochoe as 639 because the reserved squares in the checkerboard pattern on 640 have no dots and the color of the glaze on the inside is different.
