Athena mounting her chariot to right, Hermes at the head of the team, moving to right, probably looking back. What remains of Athena is her neck, hair, torso, outstretched arms, and the toes of her right foot. She wears a helmet (tail of crest hanging down her back) and a peplos. All of the vehicle is preserved except for a bit of the wheels. Part of the hindquarters of the right-hand trace horse and bits of all tails and legs are missing as well as the head and neck of the left-hand trace horse. Of Hermes (not illustrated), all that remains are part of his chlamys and his left leg with laced sandal. The reins are incised; the chariot pole is bound with lashing; the box is decorated with spirals. Below, stopped-maeander pattern with checkerboard-squares. Relief contour. Dilute glaze: chariot box; breast bands and eyes of horses.

The two horses whose muzzles are preserved wear bit burrs. For this device, see 96.
