Description: | Mycenaean stirrup vase. Incomplete. Two concentric rings in reddish brown glaze to black. The foot and half of the stem is completely glazed. Buff clay. ADDENDA 2018: Ten sherds mended into a single large fragment of a stirrup jar with flat domed base and short stem. The exterior decoration consists of at least three medium bands on the body of the vessel and a monochrome foot with reserved edge. The paint is thick and evenly applied, unevenly fired, red to dark brown. There are no traces of use-wear or burning. Furumark Shape: 182 | |
