Description: | Fragment of a krater, buff. Decoration in dull black glaze - double raised band with incised slanting notches. ADDENDA 2018: Two joining sherds to a large krater with horizontal, flat rim and double plastic band with incised decoration. The exterior decoration consists of a wide rim band extended over the plastic decoration. There is no preserved decoration in the handle zone. The interior consists of a medium rim band with a second narrow band running below the rim. The upper surface of the rim appears to have been monochrome, but is badly flaked. The paint is thick and evenly applied, fired black. There are no traces of use-wear or burning. Furumark Shape: 282 | |
