Description: | Rim and attachment for handle of skyphos. Dull brown paint on greenish yellow clay. ADDENDA 2018: Two joining sherds to a small deep bowl with flaring rim and the preserved remains of one horizontal, round-section handle. No base is preserved. Decoration on the exterior is linear with a narrow band at the lip and running below the handles. It is not possible to tell if the handle had a single or tri-splash. The interior is monochrome. The paint is streaky and unevenly fired brown-black. There is no visible use-wear or burning. Furumark Shape: 284 | |
