Title:   Kalathos Fragment: Patterned

Description:   Rim fragments from ball shaped bowl with flat rim projecting in ward. Brown paint on buff.
ADDENDA 2018: Five non-joining fragments to a medium-sized kalathos with rounded rim. No other features are preserved.
The exterior decoration is linear consisting of a narrow lip-band with a medium band running below and two medium bands running below the handle zone.
The interior is monochrome with a narrow reserved band in the upper bowl. The upper surface of the rim is reserved and decorated with panelled decoration consisting of triglphs flanked by isolated semi-circles with filled centers.
The paint is thick and uniformly fired dark brown except for the finest lines of the triglyphs. There are no obvious traces of use-wear or burning although the single lower body fragment may have some wear consistent with use.
