Description: | Base and sides of shallow bowl with off set rim. Brown black on buff. ADDENDA 2018: Nine sherds mended into one large fragment and two non-joining pieces, including a complete profile of a shallow angular bowl with flaring rim and high ring base. No handle is preserved. The exterior is completely undecorated as preserved (although it is likely that the handle had a splash of paint). The interior has a narrow lip band with a second narrow band running below it, a medium band just below the carination, and two medium bands at the bottom of the bowl. The paint is thick and evenly applied, fired dark brown. There are no traces of use-wear or burning. Five pieces added in 2018. Furumark Shape: 295 | |
