Description: | From a closed vase. Coarse ware. Black on buff. ADDENDA 2018: Two sherds mended into a single large fragment from a large closed shape. No features are preserved. The exterior decoration consists of three medium bands running below the handle zone. On either side of a vertical handle scar there are long tails extending through the triple band and ending in spirals. In the shoulder zone there is a partially preserved motif, probably scroll. The paint is thick, evenly applied, and fired black. There are no traces of use-wear or burning. Furumark Motif 1: 48 | |
