Description: | Eleven sherds mended into one large fragment (a) and two non-joining pieces (b, c) of a kylix with a conical bowl, lipless, slightly incurving rim, two vertical handles, a tall, slightly bulging stem, and a domed, partially preserved base. The exterior decoration is monochrome with a wide reserved handle zone. The handles are painted with a blob on the upper part, but undecorated on their lower half. The bottom of the base is reserved. The interior of the bowl is monochrome with an irregular circle left reserved at the bottom of the bowl. The paint is thick, but badly flaked, applied somewhat streakily, and fired brown to dark brown. There are no traces of use-wear or burning. Furumark Shape: 274 | |
