Title:   Fragmentary Amphora

Description:   Parts of neck, mouth and handles preserved.
The many fragments make up into two groups (kept as four because of fragility of joins).
Fragment a) ca. 3/4 of mouth with some of neck, one flat handle (fragments missing but complete height preserved) and the attachment of the other.
Fragment b) the lower part of the other flat handle and a considerable amount of the neck.
The handles rise a centimetre or so above the mouth.
The neck is made of plain transparent glass. The handles are rather roughly made of opaque blue glass.
Context:   Well on lower north slope of Areopagus. Use filling. Containers 47, 51, 56, 62.
