Description: | Single fragment preserving foot and stem, with traces of creamy white crust of decay. Blown glass: single paraison. Tall stem, very slender; flat sharply splayed base with small tube at edge. Small dented knob at center of bowl above, where foot was pushed up from below. Tooling mark (dent) on one side at base of stem. Pontil mark on bottom, almost blocking the stem. Fine quality light blue-green glass of Syro-Palestinian character. Undecorated. 8th century? | |
