Description:   Inscribed round base with dedication.
Mended from two fragments, found on different dates, the smaller one, containing most of the inscription, found first; a chip has been replaced on top of the larger one.
The preserved inscription is nearly complete, but a piece of the curved surface nearly equal in size is missing to its left, besides smaller fragments. Under surface smoothed, upper and lower edges moulded; in the top an evenly picked rectangular socket; smooth surface around this. Curved sides carefully smoothed.
Below a long side of the rectangular socket, but not carefully centered, is the inscription: gives information about constitution; Diktys Epikleidou Eleusinios coropted by his brother the archon Euboulides.
Pentelic marble.
ADDENDA Used as a base. Joined with S 1054.
Conservation Status:   Finished
Context:   Found in a late wall, east of the south end of the Metroon.
