Description:   Inscribed fragments of base.
Six joining and several (uninscribed) non-joining fragments of a large base, the top smoothed, and the two sides; back and bottom broken.
Finished along the top (front and sides) with a heavy moulding well preserved at the left side.
Four lines of the inscription preserved.
Pentelic marble.
ADDENDA Note fragments of three other bases, similar but apparently not the same stone, found in the same section: I 4271 (Y 5 and 37), I 4276 (Y 10) and I 4277 (Y 11).
Fragment now joined, and inscribed front face of this base (three lines), is nearly complete.
Context:   Found in the wall of the modern house 634/1, at the north foot of the Areopagus.
