Description:   Lower part of inscribed columnar base.
Broken at top and back.
The bottom carefully dressed, with a smooth contact surface ca. 0.10m. wide all round, and the remains of a rectangular dowel at least 0.013X0.048m., sunk 0.05m. into the stone.
The column has a simple flare at its base, finished with a vertical band.
Dedication to Deo and Koure Paphie.
Metrical inscription in five lines preserved, the letters very rudely cut. Above this, at the upper edge of the piece, two more letters, and below, at the lower edge of the flare, four others.
Pentelic (?) marble.
Context:   Found resting in stereo fill of footing trench, against diagonal wall, in north part of Library of Pantainos.
