Description: | Inscribed statue base. Broken away to left and behind; much worn by traffic on its underside, its top in its second use. Part of a plain plinth with the mark of the left foot of a life-sized bronze statue on its top. The foot had been secured by a large heel dowel for which a rectangular cutting remains. The foot had been released by chiselling on all sides. Inscription on front face. Four lines of the inscription preserved. Hymettian marble. | |
Context: | Found lying upside-down on floor of Roman Stoa, in the northwest corner of the Market Square. | |
