Description:   Inscribed large stele with shell top and acanthus scrolls.
Upon the face of the stele proper are two rosettes in relief; the stele proper is crowned by a small ovolo and cyma. Above this rises a large shell within which is carved a ten-petalled palmete, springing from heavy acanthus stalks.
The stele was inscribed, but the letters are illegible.
Pentelic marble.
Context:   Found as cover slab over Great Drain, east of the Metroon.
