Description:   Inscribed epistyle block.
Two large, presumably joining pieces of an ionic epistyle block. Several large pieces missing but generally well preserved, particularly the front.
Profile from bottom up: three fasciae, a cyma reversa, a cavetto with an indistinct moulding above, a large cyma recta, a half round and an ovolo, and a cymation. Half of a clamp cutting at either end. Anathyrosis on both ends. Claw chisel marks left visible on both inscribed registers.
Two lines of the inscription preserved, on large cyma recta and on upper fascia.
Pentelic marble with green micaceous flaws.
Context:   Found in Byzantine wall.
