Title: | Lamp Fragment | |
Category: | Lamps | |
Description: | Small piece preserving a little of rim and nozzle. Rim flat on top so far as preserved. The clay near the edge of the wick hole rises up slightly, as if the nozzle had an upward tilt. This could suggest a double-bodied lamp, but there is no clear indication. Worn black glaze; a broad reserved band at the inner edge of the rim, containing a black circumference line. Type IV (?) of Corinth collection, type 21D of Agora collection. ADDENDA Fragments of at least six other lamps in tray. | |
