Description:   Lamp with incised decoration on nozzle. Vertical band handle broken away.
Shallow, double convex body. Wheel made.
Rim indicated only by groove scratched through glaze round filling hole; a similar scratched groove outlines the outer edge of the upper part of the body.
Long, blunt nozzle; slightly fluked; along the top was scratched, before glazing, an irregular line on either side of which are short diagonal strokes, giving a crude branch-like effect.
Simulated base, slightly rising in center.
Highly metallic black glaze.
Light pinkish-buff clay.
Type IX (clamshell variety) of Corinth collection, type 29A of Agora collection.
Context:   Hellenistic deposit, with Megarian bowls.
