Title:   Plastic Lamp Fragments

Description:   Plastic lamp handle with joining figurine. Mended from three fragments (ΒΘ 400, 402, 403).
Complete handle attached to a lidded jar (ipnolebes (?), top and sides largely preserved, base missing.
Possible human figure (hot drink seller or bath attendant originally attached to the jar) is also missing.
Fragment b (ΒΘ 404) mended from two fragments preserves the upper part and glands of enlarged penis.
Fine orange clay with red slip.
Similar to Agora VI, no. 1053 (L 1482).
Conservation Status:   Finished
Context:   ΒΘ 400: Found in pottery washing of level 2 of fill from the western half of the tank inside the Late Roman feature in South Section.
ΒΘ 402, 403, 404: Found in pottery washing of bottom layer of fill from the western third of the tank inside the Late Roman feature in South Section
