Title:   Red Figure Calyx Krater Fragment

Description:   Fragment from wall of a krater, broken all around. Part of the head of a trumpet player to left, wearing crested Attic helmet and round shield; his trumpet to his lips. Relief contours throughout; rim of shield marked by both a painted and an incised line inside and out; the latter having red miltos in its bottom.
Notes:   Not listed in Deposit G-I 11-12; better with contents of Great Drain.
Context:   Tholos Trench E, old course of Great Drain, from gravel in bottom. Late 5th. c. context.
