Title:   Red Figure Skyphos: Type A

Description:   Fragments of wall, and both handles missing. Restored in plaster. Heavy type; with substantial ring foot; wall shows S-curve. Coarse palmette ornaments at handles. Double reserved ground line. On either side, a cloaked and a nude standing male figure.
A) The cloaked figure, right, holds out some object to the other, who is seen from the back, but with his head turned to left. His right arm is raised; in his left he carries an aryballos.
B) Similar; the cloaked figures holds out a strigil.
No contours. Glaze mottled. Extemely coarse work.
Context:   Well.
