Description: | Fragment of the upper part of the body, and the shoulder, only preserved, put together from many pieces. A few additional pieces, which do not join, are preserved. The broad body tapered slightly toward the bottom; at the top it merges with the sloping shoulder. The start, on the shoulder of a vertical handle with a single groove, is preserved. The heavy rather coarse gray fabric is burnished outside to a glossy black mottled with brown. For the fabric, cf. P 1088 (ΣΤ' 569). | |
