Title:   Pitcher Fragment: Bucchero

Description:   Fragment of the upper part of the body, and the shoulder, only preserved, put together from many pieces. A few additional pieces, which do not join, are preserved. The broad body tapered slightly toward the bottom; at the top it merges with the sloping shoulder. The start, on the shoulder of a vertical handle with a single groove, is preserved.
The heavy rather coarse gray fabric is burnished outside to a glossy black mottled with brown.

Context:   Clearing bedrock, with sherds of 5th.-6th. c.
