Description: | About half the body restored in plaster, and parts of the handes. Similar in shape and decoration to P 11235 (ΠΘ 3217), but the upper body less clearly differentiated from the lower. Mask thumb-rests on the handles, and incised grooves at level of the handle attachments. Decoration in terracotta paint, necklace with pendents, and dots below. Dull black glaze, much peeled. Cf. P 11234. ADDENDA P 11235: Convex lower body; upper wall slightly concave; plain rim. Moulded ring foot with an incised groove; another at junction of upper and lower body, and around foot. Ivy leaf thumb-rests on the band handles. | |
