Title:   Black Figure Hydria

Description:   Lower part only reserved to start of shoulder. Vertical handle missing. Spreading ring foot, black above, set off from body by two scraped lines. On the front, filling space between horizontal handles, panel bordered below by dotted bud chain, between bands. Single line at sides. Lower parts of three figures running right preserved; two maenads (one wearing a panther-skin over her chiton) and a male figure in short chiton pursuing them. Uncertain object in field at left.
White for the maenads' flesh, for dots on the garments and for part of the object. Some incision; glaze in part fired red.
Context:   Well near middle of Tholos.
