Title:   Black Figure Cup: Type C

Description:   Mended from many pieces; missing half of rim, part of base and both handles (one attachment preserved). Reserved, outside: handle zone, top of stem underneath, the resting surface and outer edge of foot, narrow band below handle zone; inside: a line just within the edge of the rim, the center with small glazed circle. Handle zone decorated with palmettes. Short plain stem.
Carelessly made, the cup not set straight on the foot and the circumference of the rim not a perfect circle.
Thin glaze, unevenly fired; white dots within interlacing lines at base of palmette.
Context:   Rectangular rockcut shaft. Found with similar cups, P 1371-P 1375, most from 10.90m and 10.35m.
