Title:   Black Figure Skyphos Fragments

Description:   Four non-joining fragments, made up of eleven, preserve parts of rim, both handles, and parts of both sides of a skyphos with offset rim. In the handle zone, a figure seated on stool between two sphinxes. Buds beside the handles. Reserved: top of lip and a band below handles. Red: sphinxes' tainia, shoulders; hair of seated figure, and band on his garment; center of loop between sphinx and handle ornament. White: face and breast of sphinxes; large spot on man's shoulder. Careless incision for interior details.
Pinkish-buff clay, fair black glaze.
