Title:   Black Figure Cup: Type C

Description:   Mended from many pieces; two small opposite pieces of slightly offset rim preserved and part of one handle attachment; more than half of base preserved. Restored in plaster. Decoration similar to P 1371 but with double palmette band. Accessory white. Circle and dot on center inside.
Fired red on the underside and round the reserved center inside. Narrow band of clay-colored paint round base of stem. Heavy stem merging with body; foot flat on top, the outer edge slightly concave; the stem solid.
ADDENDA P 1371: Reserved, outside: handle zone, top of stem underneath, the resting surface and outer edge of foot, narrow band below handle zone; inside: a line just within the edge of the rim, the center with small glazed circle. Handle zone decorated with palmettes.
