Title:   Black Glaze Salt Cellar

Description:   Fragments and chips missing from foot, wall and rim. Small thick-walled pyxis or salt cellar. Broad concave bottom. Thick rounded lip and thickened lower edge, both set off from insloping slightly concave wall by a light ridge. A small shallow groove around top of lip. Underside reserved. A purple line at the ridges and the groove. The lower edge is pierced, from the purple line to the outer edge of the bottom, with two very small holes, for thread or wire.
Excellent glaze.
