Title:   Black Figure Pinax Fragment

Description:   Fragment from the lower right corner. Glaze band along side and bottom of face; above the band, at the bottom, a border of large irregular ovals, in thin glaze. Above, on a thin ground line, part of a figured scene: a draped figure (lower part only preserved) seated left on a stool with elaborately turned legs. In front of this figure, a thin line, curving slightly from the vertical (staff?). Beyond, to left, trace of another figure(?).
Fine deep pinkish-buff clay; back and edges plain. Added purple on the cloak; careless incision for many details.
Context:   Well 6, lower fill.
