Title:   Pithos Fragment with Applied Decoration

Description:   Fragment, mended from many, preserves about one-third of neck and lip and part of shoulder. Wide shoulder, short neck curving out to thickened lip with angular profile. Around shoulder, just below neck, an applied ridge with thumb impressions.
Coarse gritty micaceous clay, pinkish-red, gray at core; buff slip(?) outside.
Context:   Well N, Middle Helladic.
