Title:   Red Figure Oinochoe Fragments

Description:   a) The larger fragment has part of the very fine palmette and lotus band around the neck above the panel.
b) Part of this same band, and traces of the scene of a warrior pursuing a woman. Part of a head with flying hair, left; behind it, diagonally across the field, part of a lance or javelin. To the right, part of an uncertain object: armor? a petasos? a Corinthian helmet?
Relief contours. The glaze inside the neck black; duller and streaked below. Outside, the surface of the background glaze has peeled in part, leaving reddish patches against a dull black.
