Title:   Krater Fragment with Relief Decoration
Category:   Pottery
Description:   The fragment includes parts of the upper walls, the flaring rim, and one twisted horizontal handle. The lip is bent over and grooved outside. A large bowl, with moulded decoration of Erotes with garlands flying toward a large vase. A heavy wheelmade rim has been added. At the pint of attachment is a band of red color, much worn. A similar red stripe around a groove just inside the rim. For the shape cf. P 1495.
Gray clay and thin dark gray metallic glaze, recalling the Cnidus lamps, T XIII.
Context:   S.W. corner, green earth to 1.00m. below wall, north of it. Middle Stoa Bldg. fill. Lot Θ 133-5, w/Byz.
