Description: | Broken all around; at the top of the fragment, on the inside, the curve outward toward the lip begins. On the outside, at the top, a moulded groove and ridge, and a row of small rosettes. Below these, two goats, left, appear to be pulling something, as a pair of reins is visible above their backs. The legs of the nearer goat are missing; his left front hoof was raised. Of the further goat only the head, thrown back, is visible (chipped). Fine pinkish buff clay; hard red glaze inside and out. | |
