Title:   Black Glaze Bowl

Description:   About one-third of base, wall and lip missing; restored in plaster. Small bowl somewhat similar in shape to P 16023 (ΓΓ 699), but deeper, the fabric considerably thicker, the wall more convex and the lip broader. The foot is exceptionally large and high; cf. the skyphos, P 15988 (ΓΓ 664).
Glaze fired red inside; black and mottled outside. Reserved: the outer face and resting surface of the foot, and the space inside (center not preserved).
ADDENDA P 16023: Shallow bowl on low rounded ring foot. Flaring wall and rounded lip much as P 16020. P 16020: Broad shallow bowl with rounding walls; broad lip, slightly rounded on top and overhanging on interior.
