Title:   Black Glaze Amphora

Description:   One handle and some of the other, and fragments of lip, body and foot missing; restored in plaster. Flaring lip with angular profile; narrow neck. Bell-shaped body which turns sharply inward below to high ring foot; unglazed grooves around vase as follows: one at lower end of shoulder, one at top of body, one at middle of body. Twisted handles from lower part of lip to edge of shoulder.
Thin, dull black glaze, much worn.
Context:   Well.
